Fresh Flour was born in 2021 from a simple yet powerful idea: to bring back the authentic taste of freshly milled grains—just like back home. Freshly ground millets and grains, turned into flour only when ordered, deliver flavors and textures you thought were lost.

How We Started

Moving to the United States, we noticed something was missing. The familiar taste of chappatis, Bhakri, bajra rotla, jowar (juvar rotla), and ragi was absent in store-bought flours. In our kitchens, grinding grains at home was tradition. So, we took action.

We imported the highest quality grains and millets from India and started milling them right here in the U.S.—only when our customers place orders. The aroma, flavor, and freshness were immediate — exactly what we remembered.

Growing with Community

We began by sharing our freshly milled flours with friends and family. The response was enthusiastic so much so that word of mouth sparked demand. To keep pace, we’ve expanded our milling capacity, enabling us to serve even more households with the freshness they deserve.

Nope! We simply don’t store flour for long periods. Every batch is milled fresh to order—no preservatives needed.

Absolutely. Whether you want coarse grains or finely ground flour—or even a millet mix—we’re happy to tailor it for you.

None of the grain goes to waste. Bran and germ are repurposed for baking or health-conscious uses; any remaining is used as feed—keeping waste to a minimum.

We use water-efficient cleaning systems and are looking into recycled water solutions. For energy, we prioritize efficient equipment and aim to explore energy-saving methods like optimized motors and smart controls.

Currently, we import grains from trusted sources in India. We’re exploring sustainable agriculture methods—like organic and regenerative farming—to deepen our commitment to environmental stewardship.

While we currently use packaging that ensures freshness and protection, we’re actively looking into recyclable and compostable options to reduce our environmental footprint.
